Tyler Malone

Originally from Long Island, Tyler grew up in North Carolina. Here is where he began dancing at the age of 7. After graduating high school, Tyler attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. Throughout his college career, Tyler had the honor of working with choreographers such as Keisha Lalama, Ron Tassone, Alan Hineline, Nicolas Petrov, Peter Merz, and Darrell Grand Moultrie, just to name a few. Immediately following college, Tyler was hired by Lehrer Dance, now known as Jon Lehrer Dance Company, a contemporary/modern dance company based out of Buffalo, NY. Through his career with Lehrer Dance, Tyler performed all over the globe. With residencies across the United States at numerous universities and high schools and multiple tours to Europe and Russia, Tyler has been able to share his passion for dance with so many diverse people and cultures. Most recently, he is working with RWS Entertainment Group based out of NYC on numerous projects, including a contract dancing aboard Holland America Cruise Line and being a member of their Step One Dance Company. Happy to be settling down in Iowa, Tyler can't wait to begin his new path into the dance community locally and nationally and share his wealth of knowledge and experience.

Gwynedd Vetter-Drusch

Gwynedd Vetter-Drusch (AEA) is a dancer, actor, singer, filmmaker, writer, and teaching artist based in NYC. Some of her favorite dance credits include Ma Cong’s Folia (Tulsa Ballet II), Marie/Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker under the direction of Gelsey Kirkland, and performing her own work internationally (TEDxPMO, La Danza de la Vida). Most recently, she toured to London, UK to perform Sara Knight's Beatles Ballet with Beatlemania (Chevalier Ballet). Regional theatre credits include Rosalind in As You Like It (SSC), Molly Aster in Peter and the Starcatcher (CiderMill Playhouse), and Phantom (Fireside Dinner Theatre). . As a teaching artist, she is committed to fostering the healthy development of students who embody an inner and outer grace, technical excellence, and empowered and authentic artistry. Summer Loetz
Acro/Tumbling Faculty

Summer, an Iowa native, has been involved in gymnastics since 2011. She began training in Fairfield and later transferred to a competitive team in University Park, where she achieved seven consecutive state and regional championship titles. In 2016, Summer transitioned into coaching, beginning as an assistant and quickly advancing to become head coach of the XCEL competition team. Additionally, she has traveled across the Midwest as a professional gymnastics judge since 2018.
Outside of gymnastics, Summer served as the lead toddler teacher at Maharishi School for three years. In 2021, she was honored with the TEACH Early Childhood Scholarship by the Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children. She is thrilled to share her knowledge and passion for gymnastics with everyone at IDC.

Solomon Davis
Improv Acting Teacher

Solomon recently moved to Fairfield from Seattle Washington where he was a professional actor and theater instructor. He was an ensemble member at Unexpected Productions (home of Seattle theater Sports), the city’s premiere improv theater, and served as director of improv at Taproot Theatre. Solomon acted in many main stage productions with Book-It Repertory, Taproot, and Emerald City Scene. When not on the main stages, he would tour his one-person show “Remember Being Born?”, as well as numerous educational and improvised plays. After retiring from full-time acting, he started teaching theater at the prestigious Northwest School. He is currently the Assistant Director at Fairfield Arts and Convention Center and programs for Cinema Fairfield.

Phoenix Haessler
Adventures in Drama Teacher

Phoenix grew up in Fairfield, participating in local and school theater productions from the age of 6. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 2018 where she was very active in theater, band, and choir. During this time, she participated in Speech Team, where she was a State level competitor in categories such as One Act Play, Acting, and Storytelling, and an All State qualifier in Ensemble Acting and Mime. A recent college graduate, Phoenix completed her undergraduate studies at Knox College in 2022, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology & Sociology. Outside of academics, she spent her time participating in dance, music, and theater organizations. She has worked in childcare and summer camp programs since high school and loves to work with children and help them to explore their creativity through art and play. She is thrilled to be able to combine this with her love of acting and to be a part of the IDC team.

Jamie Blomme
Assistant Director/Dance Faculty

Jamie Blomme brings over 15 years of teaching experience, working with children and adults in both dance and figure skating. Raised in San Jose, California, Jamie began skating and dancing at the age of 5. She was a competitive figure skater and dancer for several years. In those years, she had extensive training with elite coaches and instructors. Before settling in Iowa, she traveled Europe as a professional figure skater for Disney on Ice. Jamie enjoys the artistry and beauty of dance and is excited to share her training and experience with the Iowa Dance Collective dance students. She is also thrilled to be working with Tyler and the IDC team.
