A preprofessional Company

Malone Dance Theater is a preprofessional dance company of 11 dancers. They are split between a first and second company MDT I and MDT II.

A training Program

Dancers meet every Saturday for multiple hours to train and rehearse in the fashion of a professional dance company. It allows the young dancers to get a glimpse of what a future in dance could look like.

How Can I or my child join MDT?

Students of Iowa Dance Collective are evaluated year round for the next season’s MDT Company. The program is invite only. There is no formal audition at this point. New students to Iowa Dance Collective have a one on one evaluation and meeting to determine eligibility and possible invitation.
